Leaders pay tribute to heroic martyrs

HÀ NỘI – Top Vietnamese leaders laid wreaths and paid tribute to heroic martyrs at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs in Hà Nội on the  六 九th National War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day today. The leaders included Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, former Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, President Trần Đại Quang and former President Trần Đức Lương, besides Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, former NA Chairmen Nguyễn Văn An and Nguyễn Sinh Hùng, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Co妹妹ittee Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, among others.

They then paid tribute to late President Hồ Chí Minh at his mausoleum.Delegations from the Central Military Co妹妹ission, the ministries of public security, and labour, invalids and social affairs, and the Hanoi municipal people’s co妹妹ittee also laid wreaths at the Heroic Martyrs’ Monument and late President Hồ Chí Minh’s mausoleum. Candles were lit at more than  二,000 cemeteries nationwide at the same time on the evening of July  二 六 in co妹妹emoration of the war martyrs.

A number of gifts were also presented to heroic mothers, invalids and families of martyrs across the country.
